Section 38
There shall be a Probation and Parole Board
: (1) There shall be a Federal Probation and Parole Board as follows:-
(a) Attorney General and Chairman
(b) Secretary, Ministry of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs as a member (c) Secretary, Ministry of Home Affairs La Member
(d). As far as available, two psychiatrists designated by the concerned ministry including one woman are members (e) Member of Inspector General, Nepal Police (f) Criminologist or Penalist designated by the concerned Ministry, Article 7 of the Civil Code, as amended by the Act amending some Nepal Acts, 2075.
(g) Director General, Prison Management Department Member Secretary
(2) Under the direct direction, control and supervision of the Probation and Parole Board, there shall be the following Provincial Probation and Parole Boards in each province:-
(a) Solicitor General - Chairman
(b) Secretary, State Ministry of Law Member (c) Secretary, State Ministry of Home Affairs (d) Chief of Police, State Police - Member
(e) Two psychiatrist-members appointed by the State Government including one woman as far as available. (f) Criminologist or Penalist appointed by the State Government - Member
(g) Head of Provincial Jail Management Agency - Member-Secretary
